ttScent - Fragrance-Sample E-Commerce Demo

ttScent began as a business idea with a friend: sell fragrance samples so people could try smaller quantities before deciding on a full bottle. I built the product and operations side of the idea, from the shopping experience through to stock, orders, shipping, and seller tooling. The business was developed and hosted, but did not attract enough interest to continue as an ongoing company, so it remains a live portfolio demo.

A product experience built around samples

The aim was not to make a generic webshop. The first-visit animation and visual direction were intended to make the digital experience feel connected to opening and trying a fragrance sample.

Each fragrance has sample-size options and stock status. When an item is unavailable, visitors can register interest, giving the seller a simple signal of demand instead of losing that potential customer completely.

A cart interaction that matched the product

Adding a sample to the cart was designed to feel like a small container joining the order rather than a standard generic cart action. The checkout then handles the practical side: shipping choices and an order flow built around small physical products.

Commerce also meant operations

I built the supporting seller workflow alongside the storefront: products, sample sizes, stock, orders, customer communication, shipping options, and order status. The backend includes payment flows and a PostNord shipping integration route, while the dashboard gives the seller a place to follow the order process.

What the seller could learn from activity

The dashboard includes product, order, live-view, and out-of-stock-interest views. The purpose was to make it easier to see what visitors were looking at and where demand was building, not to turn a small business idea into an overly complex operations suite.

ttScent shows a product attempt where the customer experience and the less visible operational work were designed together. It did not become a continuing commercial business, but it remains a useful example of building an end-to-end commerce product around a specific physical offering.
